Thomas is the director of photography and field producer for the non-profit organization Why Tuesday?

Why Tuesday? is a non-partisan effort to provoke a meaningful national dialogue about election reform, with an emphasis on questioning the day on which we vote. We are not offering a specific solution; we seek instead to encourage goal-oriented dialogue: what is the most common-sense way to make sure that as many Americans as possible can vote? What can we do to contribute to that dialogue and make sure that our leaders are actively engaged in assuring that our democratic institutions serve everyone?

We are not political. We are not partisan. We are citizens who care about democracy, and we hope you’ll join us in our urgent exploration.

Harold Arts

Thomas was a Harold Arts resident for both 2007 and 2008, which takes place during the summer on Jeffers's Tree Farm in Ohio. The residency/gallery is based in Chicago.
